2 days of warm(er) weather

we are soooo ready for spring!!! and warmer weather. today we were outside eating popsicles! the nice thing about eating popsicles in january (when you're 14months old) is they don't melt so fast so you don't get too dirty. it's been such a cold and long month so far, so a little high 40s, mid 50s weather feels so good.

elijah is almost 4 (in march) and is finally, FINALLY! sitting in the "big" swing. and he's swining by himself, something i'm sure he learned (or was forced to learn) at school. i love school. it's amazing all the little things he picks up there.

ashleigh's getting so big and loves being outside. i don't like being outside it reminds me of the work i need to do in my yard to get ready for spring. i can't wait for green grass again!!!
look how big playing with the heman in the doll house!

there's something about big heads and little bodies that i just love!!! i wish i had a little more wide angle so i could make his head a little bigger!! if you know my son you know his head really can't get much bigger!

my silly kids. i love them to pieces.

finally a new blog.

so i got a complaint yesterday that i didn't blog enough. well i didn't really have anything new, other than the kids being sick for the past week and we just hung out at home. well these are some old pics that i wanted to share, but was so busy before christmas that i never got around to it, then i started thinking it was too late. but i still want to share them.

so one of our christmas projects this year was making thank you cards (which i haven't handed out yet, so if you're wondering why you didn't get one, that's why) but i really want the kids to show their appreciation for gifts or at least start learning that saying thanks is really important. we are so blessed with all our friends and family around us, we are so grateful for everything they give us and do for us!!! so i let the kids paint on the cards. this is how it went...

i think those pictures pretty much show how it went!
then before christmas elijah had a little program from school. it was so cute and he did so good. better than i ever expected. he was up on the stage sang, and played his drum and jingled his bells (which he still sings jingle bells to me almost everyday except he learned another song for his program called sing noel and he kind of mixes the two songs together) and he even said his part in the microphone. they were telling us their favorite stories. he said "i like dora, and boots and swiper the fox too" i was so proud that he was willing to stay on the stage he didn't cry he said his part. here are all the kids during their rehearsal (i can't spell, you know what i mean)

then a special someone came and visited the kids at the preschool. here's a picture of some of the kids holding santa's hand and walking him into the building. how funny and cute it that!!!
elijah's conversation with santa. s: have you been a good boy? e: (nods his head) s: what do you want for christmas? e: (nothing) s: do you want a dinosaur? e: (nods his head)
i'm thinking what?! a dinosaur all he talked about was santa bringing him a transformer. don't worry a week later he sat on santa's lap again and straightened things out. he made sure to ask for a transformer, then santa's helpers gave him a little gift bag with goodies. elijah opened it up and said "where's the transformer?" i love that kid.
and santa came to visit in a big, red fire engine. which elijah got to sit in and drive. he was so happy!

and here's a picture from the actual performance courtesy of mario. he captured the moment perfect.
so that was my post to make up for my lack of posts i hope you enjoyed it!!!

my color of green

You Are Olive Green
You are the most real of all the green shades. You're always true to yourself. For you, authenticity and honesty are very important... both in others and yourself. You are grounded and secure. It takes a lot to shake you.People see you as dependable, probably the most dependable person they know.

what color green are you?

2 posts in one day?!

like i said i was real excited to get my computer fixed. so make sure to scroll down and read everything new!

my nephew loves monster trucks, and what makes a better monster truck course than mommy's "bumps"?

are we getting a little anxious to dress another baby girl? love all those newborn pink clothes.

we have so many new babies coming to our family in the next couple of months. i'm so excited to meet all of them. and for those of you expectant or new moms i have a new baby package i'm just working on all the details. my goal is to have it posted by this weekend. i'm so excited!!!

the ficklin's

i had so much fun taking pictures of this family. plus i learned a little patience with little boys makes really good pictures. you'd think a person would know what to expect from 3 year old little boys when they have one themselves. but they're always full of surprises. back to the photo shoot, i took these pictures a week or so ago, but haven't had the chance to work on them. but now my computer's fixed and i have so many things i want to do, so check back later to see what knew deals and packages are coming your way!!!

so isn't this family adorable, but don't let thier good, innocent looks deceive you. they're pretty dang funny too!
i've decided i want another little boy, but i want one just like this! he's so sweet and cuddly and cute and did i mention how sweet he is?

i hope they had as much fun as i did, and i can't wait to do it again!!!
