welcome to evan hour

so i did a photo shoot with this family a couple of months ago. well the baby didn't want to have much to do with taking pictures then. but saturday was a different story. he thought this whole photo shoot was about him. he was goofy and silly and running around everywhere! he was PERFECT!!! i had so much fun and we laughed and laughed.

the best time was when we were inside a building taking pictures at the hispanic cultural center and this little boy (maybe three) came up and decided it looked like fun to stand in a line and hold hands. the cutest part was when his dad told him it was time to go and he leaned over and KISSED Alyson's hand!!! how sweet is that. of course i put my camera down so i could watch the little scene and i wasn't expecting anything so cute to happen so i didn't get a pictures :(

well i leave you with this post. i'll be out for a couple of days this week. GIRLS CAMP!! yeepie! (notice the yeepie's not in caps) i'll be back thursday and we've got another huge wedding this weekend which i'm super excited for. i've been waiting all year for this event. and we just shot a wedding this past weekend which i haven't even begun looking at. we had so much fun. and i still have a few weekends open this summer and before november 11 (my due date) so if you know anyone needing a wedding photographer we love receptions! also i'd like to get most family pictures done before i have a baby since i'll be taking off most of november. i know it's a long ways away but i feel it coming up fast.

proceed with caution...

it pains me that i had to pick only a few of these pictures to share. there are another 100 or so that i would love to show off, but i had to limit my self.
i'm so jealous of this family. they were all so well behaved (even the parents!) everything just worked out perfectly and although i would've loved to spend more time with them i don't think my hard drive has space for all the perfect pictures they would've taken!!!

more pictures of MY family

our friends family is out of town this weeks so we adopted him for a couple of days and made him take our pictures. thanks zack!

i want to train my kids to take pictures better, i want cute family pictures, plus i've been thinking it might be nice to get some practice being on the other side of the camera so i can give advice. i really like taking the pictures much much much more than being in the picture.

in a few months i even want to take maternity pictures, i know gross (don't get me wrong i think everyone else looks fabulous pregnant, just not me). don't know if i'll actually post those though!

so here's us now. elijah's been sick the past few days so extra grumpy and ashleigh is well, she's just ashleigh. but that's us. so i love the pictures because they show US.

not too fast.

lately i've been telling my kids to stop growing up. ashleigh likes to remind me everyday how "bigger and stronger" she is. and all elijah can talk about is his big school next year and with a new baby coming i see how big they really are. i just want them to stay like this a little longer. or they can grow up i just don't want to forget how they are now. this summer i'm going to try and take more pictures of us everyday (and more pictures of us as a family). i love having pictures of us together and wish i had more. so let me take your family pictures too so your not wishing the same thing!!!

happy belated mother's day!

i hope all you moms out there got the attention and presents you deserved yesterday.
here's what i got...

elijah...

made me a all about my MOMMY book.

he drew a pictures of me and him

i guess that's what i'd buy HIM is i had a lot of money!
according to him, i like to: "take a bath"
my favorite tv show: "funny shows"
my favorite place is: "Lars' house"
my favorite food: "pizza"
my favorite color: "yellow"
my best friend is: "michelle" - myself (how sad)
i love my mommy this much : and he drew a heart full of love
he also gave me something else but i don't really know what it is. he says it's a piece of paper and playdough (but i saw my sister wearing the paper like a braclet)

and ashleigh...

she gave me lots of hugs and smiles. she tells me all the time "you make me so happy"
she's the sweetest thing when she wants to be

mario...
he gave me new frying pans
and a ipod dock so i can listen to my music when i'm taking a bath
so sweet

and i bought myself
some new comfy, stretchy pants as i'm getting fatter (but it's for a good reason)
and a new shirt
and i'm not sure i'm done buying for myself yet.

i love being a mom!!!

"is this a nice game?"

that's what one of our team members asked his mom last year during the 1st or 2nd game. well i can answer that better now. no, sometimes it's not a very nice game. especially this last game. there was so much pushing and shoving and even one boxing match (but they gave each other high fives afterwards)

i hope elijah keeps playing soccer. they're too cute! and he's learned so much and gotten better. he runs and scores (he doesn't just stand there picking his nose anymore!) i think ashleigh's ready to play. actually she already thinks she's part of the team. ha!
