merry christmas

here's our attempt at taking pictures of ashleigh and elijah together. so we are so excited for christmas tomorrow and wanted to wish you a merry christmas.

ashleigh just turned 1 last month. i can't believe how fast this last year has gone by. she already thinks she's three and didn't stay a baby very long. now she's into everything and gets a little attitude if she doesn't get her way. she's so determined and stubborn, i hope she never changes.

i thought this picture was funny because just before i took it i was yelling at the kids to look at me. so they looked at the camera, but weren't very happy about it. i'm lucky i got the pictures i did. those two are too busy to stop and take a picture for me. elijah turns 4 in march! he loves his video games and computer games. and he's so excited for santa to finally bring him a transformer tomorrow. hopefully santa was able to get a transformer because we had a hard time finding one at the store. but he is santa, i'm sure he had better luck. elijah has also been attending preschool since september and loves it. i love when he comes home singing new songs and telling me about the stories he read. i can't believe how big he's getting and how much he's learning.

i love showing off my little ones, i think they're pretty cute and their getting better and sitting still for a moment to let me take a picture. i'm so blessed and happy to have them in my life they are so special. we hope you remember all the wonderful gifts heavenly father has given you also and have a wonderful christmas filled with family and fun!

two shoots in one day

i love feet and shoes! and how cool are those colorful shoes?!
this kid loves his chapstick, and he's pretty adorable but i'm a little biased since he is my nephew.

we had fun frolicking among the trees i almost had to buy one so we had a reason to be there other than taking pictures.
little boys are such stinkers. two photo shoots in one day with little boys. they are so stubborn and only want to be cute when you're not looking. but this little guy can turn it on and off. with a little threat and bribe from mom he turns on his little smile and it looks so real. not cheesy like my son when he's "trying" to smile. they were so cute and i love the place they choose to take pictures. it was beautiful with the black and blue skies and the mountains!!! i can't wait to go back there again.

my goal today is to get some cute pictures of my kids dressed up for church. if i can get them to take one together that would be a miracle. and i have some very cute pictures from elijahs preschool christmas program i need to post, but my computer is acting up. i'll try to post those too if it won't shut down on me again. have a wonderful christmas if you don't come back before than!

saturday photo shoot

i've been trying to get a few minutes on the computer to show off this beautiful family. and when i say beautiful i really mean it. they were fun, crazy (to go out off the side of the road in freezing, breezy weather and let me take pictures of them), and way gorgeous!!! i had so much fun. so here's the beautiful eye candy and if looks like we went to a million different places it's because we did! they were such troopers pulling over, running in and out of the car every few minutes.

sweet baby

what a beautiful and sweet baby girl!

just as a little note, starting in january i'll be offering a baby bundle to document the first year. it will include stuff like a baby announcement, photo session at 0-4 weeks, 6months and 12 months, and a story board with three pictures from each session. i may also offer other options such as a pregnancy shoot, and a family shoot included with the bundle. just keep checking back often.

cold winter night

when we started it was 6:30om, totally dark and freezing. we get out to the unm campus and i start setting up, take a couple pictures and i'm ready to get started. then my lens stopped working. i was so upset i thought my lens was broken luckily i have two. my second one worked fine. i must've been destined to use that lens i don't think i would've gotten the same pictures with the other lens and i probably wouldn't of switched lens'. but don't worry i just accidentally adjusted something on the lens that i wasn't supposed to so it's fine and ready to take more pictures!!!

so how cute are these two?! and how much fun to be willing to go out in the freezing cold just for some christmas card pictures. i hope they're as happy with the results as i am. and even though my hands are still thawing out, i'd totally do it again.
