birthday party

and what's a birthday party without a "big jumpy thing"? and why should a 21 month old think he has to jump inside the "big jumpy thing"? seriously is this kid crazy or what?! and he's not even two!

fireworks? why not! left overs or course, but just as good the second time around.







what a blast! literally, we had so much fun. i think elijah would do anything to get to go to a birthday party. he'd probably eat spinach topped with peas. everything he loves all in one place at one time; food, juice, "friends" (anyone that will play with him), "big jumpy things", toys, presents, and of course his most favorite CAKE!!! but what can you expect, he gets it from his dad.

lost and FOUND!

well almost, i'm still missing that dang netflix. but mario came home last night and really "looked" for his mp3 player and he found it!!! right where he left it, well kind of. it WAS hooked up to the computer to charge only the computer got moved, but the mp3 player stayed in place. i knew i didn't touch it. usually i get blamed when everything ends up missing because i "move things" or how i like to say it they get "put away". so i left it on the table (like it was in the picture) becuase i figured mario would want it again soon. so he moved it to charge it and forgot.

too funny. i love when i have evidence that i don't always misplace things. well except for that movie, i don't know where i put it!

can your house really eat things?

so this is what my hosue look like now. is that an mp3 player on the table? that's what i'm looking for and that where anyone in the house remembers seeing it last. and this picture was taken a week ago. so it looks clean here...


but this is what it's been through the last couple of weeks. so far i've only lost two things that i've noticed. mp3 player and a movie (netflix) so where did they go? see if you can find them...

this is where everything kind of was for a couple of days? do you see them there?

maybe they got thrown out with the carpet. but i think i would've noticed them.

now is that the dvd on top of the stove in the entry way? could be. so i've looked everywhere i put things. and everywhere that things just sort of end up. so if anyone wants to come over and help make a mess again and look for things that are missing let me know. mario's good at making a mess, i'm good at cleaning it, neither of us remember where we put anything. so next time you take on a home improvement project i'd suggest putting important things in a safe place and remember what that place is.

so i finally got to take pictures with clarissa and greg. way fun and cute. here's a little look. there are tons more but i want to hurry and post some and can't stand waiting for them to upload anymore, i think i need to work on that. let me know what you think!

park, friends and swings!

finally i've been trying to upload these pictures the last 2 days. i don't know why it's been so hard. we were having so much fun on the swings with our friends from church. everyone has the most beautiful children. i feel like i could go swimming in her blue eyes, just gorgeous!!!


and of course my monkeys. ashleigh was laughing so hard at elijah pulling her legs and pushing her. she laughs so hard for him, and i can barely get a giggle out. she loves her big brother and he is so sweet with her!! i just love it!!!

i don't think these two can take a "bad picture" just beautiful!

well i had fun taking those pictures. i'm feeling more confident which is good because i'm taking my sister's bff engagement pictures!!! i'm super excited you should see her, well you will she is just so much fun and creative and just love everything about her.

wedding outfits

ok, this isn't technically photography, but i was having problems with the family website and i need some feedback. absolutely love this dress, but i want ashleigh's dress to have polka dots (too many dots i think) but i will get this dress, someday.


so i like this dress but not as much as others. the problem is the one i really like isn't exactly black it's navy and everyone else will be wearing black and purple i don't aedywant to be the oddball anymore than i already am. so this one is black and white, but not my favorite.

here's the dress i want for ashleigh, isn't it adorable and it is actually very reasonably priced compared to other dresses i have seen. but i figure if i get it big enough she can wear it for christmas and maybe even easter (yeah right) but i just love it, love it, love it!!!

so this is the dress i really like for me but it's navy and tan. and i'm afraid the neck may be too wide. so leave me some input.



i also love this dress but wonder if it's too casual? and i really love the full skirt but i really love this dress too. this one is black and navy whish may work becuause ashleighs dots are actually navy not the purple or black that is the actual wedding color that elijah and mario will be wearing. i really don't know. i'd go with which every one will look better on me cuz that's all i really care about.

Great Grandpa

we haven't seen great granpa in a couple of years. for vacation we got to spend almost a whole week with him. it was so awesome and fun. ashleigh has never met grandpa and she loved all the attention he gave her. she would sit on his lap and they would clap together and she's laugh and smile. but she wouldn't hold very still so she kept coming out blurry.











can't wait to see grandpa again. hopefully i can get some pictures of elijah with him next time. elijah was too busy playing with all his cousins. he didn't want to sit and take pictures.

zion's national park

we hiked up to emerald pools at zion's national park. it was totally awesome and the views were amazing.
it was only a little over 2 miles, but with a three year old it felt like the longest distance.
the whole way up was amazing and elijah climbed rocks and jumped around he loved it.
i love the green trees against the red rock from the cliffs it's just beautiful.


this was at the top, you can tell it wasn't just a little stroll, elijah is drenched in sweat.
pretty gross actually.


i took a picture of my dad's hat sitting on a tree branch on the highest
emerald pool. then played with it a little in photoshop. fun to see all those shapes, colors,
and shawdows.


this was actually the lowest pool, but my pictures got mixed up a little
there was this little trickle of a waterfall and we hiked through a path that
felt like it was cut out from the rock. it was nice and cool during this part of the hike.

a little slow.



and here's mario showing grandma how close her
grandbaby got to the edge of the cliff. it was a pretty far drop.


we took a ton of pictures going up, and not a picture coming back down.
by the end we were all hot and tired and elijah cried the whole way down
i refused to carry him so i made him walk, poor kid.
i pretty much pulled him down the mountain, my arm hurt for
three days after that. it was hard, but i'm glad we did it. it was beautiful up there
and now elijah thinks he's a rock climber or something.
