i love pettiskirts!!!

i've seen these all over the web. well my sister finally broke down and decided she had to make some. and they are so much more adorable and fun then i ever imagined (and a pain to make). if my sister wasn't so successful in making so many so quickly i probably would've just bought one, eventually.

she makes it look so easy, and she's dang good at it, and she enjoys it. and the best part she's selling them!!! and for almost 1/2 the price as other people.

check her out.

and my other sister probably has some more pictures too!!!

let's go back to a month ago.

so what we were doing a month ago was really interesting (i've been so busy i'm barely getting to it now) and what we're doing now is not as interesting (which is why i'm able to get to it now) well that's not all the way true we're working on something but i'm not ready to share it yet.

so a month ago elijah had his christmas performance at school. they were studying weather and their play went something like this...

there was the polar express train going to the north pole and it got hit by all kinds of weather. i guess that's the gist of it (with a couple of songs in between like the freeze song, and a button pushing song, and a rain drop/snowflake song)

elijah was a cloud. his line "i'm a cloud. i'm white. i float over the train and wall-e"

then it was cold for a couple of days and it snowed, remember. the kids had fun playing in the snow. i was sick that day now that i remember correctly, they still went out at 8:00am to play the next day. elijah has nice warm water proof gloves. ashleigh doesn't. her hands were so red, but she wouldn't come inside.

that brings us to christmas eve. one of my families traditions is we set up lumanarios at my husbands grandparents house. the kids helped a lot this year.

yeah this is the product of the kids help. this is our first burned bag, i'm sure as the kids get more "helpful" we'll have a lot more of these.
notice the smoke behind ashleigh. she didn't even notice the bag was on fire, elijah was freaking out a little.

may i remind you this was christmas eve. it's supposed to be cold right? elijah would not wear a jacket. that kid can't feel the cold or something, but it's also been pretty nice around here. i feel bad for all those people out east in the freezing temperatures (we played outside at the park for 2 hours yesterday, without jackets)

it was the best christmas. it seems every year just gets better. we were so blessed last year and i can't wait to see what this year will bring us.

the freeman's

i wish we were as cool and talented as this family.

amazing singers, beat boxers, pianst and they could probably do just about anything.

2009 prices

This year i will be doing "mini shoots" every month.
here's how it works.

one saturday a month i will be in an area (like the bio park, oldtown, and some other places, by the way i'll take suggestions on places to go also). on that saturday i'll book up to 4, 30 minute sessions.

*a mini shoot will be $50.00 a session
*you get to pick 10 digital negatives that you will get in color and black and white (other images will be available for an additional cost, $25.00)

i'm really excited about this, it's the only way i could think of keeping the cost of sessions down. i really want to be your FAMILY photographer that you can afford to go to more than once in a lifetime. i want you to take pictures once a year (or more).
*sessions are first come, first serve.
*payment is due 1 week before your session. i'll be setting up a paypal account and website soon so you can use a credit card, but until then you can mail a check or money order or we can arrange another way.
*if you're late to your session it will be cut short. i'm booking mutiple sessions with a short break in between, please don't be late!!!

the smith's

i had so much fun last week and took hundreds of pictures, so it's taken me a while to get through them all. but i finally made it through and here's the last family i get to show off.

they are the best family in the whole world. so much fun and their kids are all so sweet. all 6 of them!!! they make it look so easy i have two and feel like i'm not going to make it through the day. i'm so glad they came to visit this christmas and let me take their pictures.
