saturday at the temple

saturday we went to the temple and watched my one of my new nieces be sealed to her mom and dad. it was so special and so awesome. the kids had fun playing outside.

elijah turned around saw me take a picture then gave me a dirty look and ran off. this kid does not want his picture taken lately (unless it's his idea)

i am so hating my hair right now. any suggestions? i don't want to chop it off, but it's my shortest layers that are bugging me.
i don't think these two (jenna and laney) can take a serious picture.

we had such a wonderful time at the temple. i'm glad my kids got to walk around and hangout there for a couple of hours. elijah keeps telling me he's big enough to go inside the temple. and he also keeps talking about jens fishing in the fountain. i love seeing him so excited about the temple. i'll have to finish posting pictures from this past weekend when ashleigh's not sitting by me. maybe by the end of this weekend i'll be all caught up with last weekend, luckily nothing exciting is going on in the next couple of days.

the animals at the zoo

well elijah really wanted to get a good look at the animals...
but it ended in "mom i can't do it, it's too tall!"
so i normally don't take pictures of the animals for a couple of reasons. 1. the kids never stay long enough at one exhibit to let me get my camera out, wait for the right picture, and then actually take a picture. and 2. the animals just don't do anything that's very camera worthy (to me anyways) yesterday was very different. this gorilla was so showing off. he kind of was climbing this big stick, then he looked at me saw i was taking his picture and climbed to the very highest perch and sat down. (then he clapped for himself!)

then the other animals were all growling, hooting, and just yelling!!!

we had lots of fun. we go to the zoo pretty often but this day was especially fun. i don't know if it was the weather or the company. it was just a good day. so far today it is COLDand oh so WINDY and looks like it's going to rain (again)!!!!

today's adventures Iron Man, we'll see how that goes.

ok, go ahead and laugh - i'd probably laugh...

so mario and elijah went camping & jeeping this weekend (fathers and sons campout)

during jeeping mario blew out a tire on the jeep - DANG!

w tires and we were planning on getting tires.
so the next choice of vehicle for mario to drive to church on sunday since he had to be there at 6 or 7 (i don't know i'm asleep until 8:30 - we don't have church until 9:00) so he backs the truck out and it drvies thunk, thunk, thunk. he gets out and the truck has a blown out tire! when did that happen!!! it's funny that he had to text me from his church meeting to tell me about the blowout (which i didn't get because i was asleep)

no big deal he can drive the motorcycle to work on monday. monday morning he gets ready to drive the bike that he hasn't driven because its been - cold, rainy, windy... anyways since he hasn't driven it the battery decides to quit working. which later i'm told they die quickly if they're not used, then why didn't you start and drive the bike to keep the battery good???

so monday we were stranded at home since i had 2 vehicles with blown out tires and one dead bike! so much for 4 vehicles.
that's ok we played in the sprinklers. so the pictures are crappy because they're from my phone (which i've never actually taken pictures off my phone and put them on the computer, but new phone means new experiences, i also downloaded ringtones and put them on my phone, all by myself!!!) ohh. i didn't have my camera because it was in the car that mario took to work.

dang!! it got hot on monday. we had to cool of in the sprinklers. or the sprinling as elijah calls it.

elijah has a thing with putting hands (and now feet) in front of the camera when he doesn't want his picture taken.

and this is all ashleigh's idea. we have towel on head (her new favorite thing to do all day) tutu and you can't see very good but she's also wearing her skull leg warmers. she tried to wear her tutu to church over her dress, but as much as i thought how cute it was i had to put my foot down.


so it was beautiful (almost too hot 95ish yesterday!!!) and then today the wind started blowing...err i hate wind. and it's supposed to be windy for the next couple of days. and get cold 70s!!! this spring stinks!

trying something different.

well nothing so different about this one, it's just funny. mario's grandma has a finger pointing thing and seems to be worse lately. i captured her in the act last night. we joked about blowing it up really big and putting it up where everyone can see it.
these pictures just felt a little old and vintageish to me, i just thought i'd play around i think i got the hang of it better the more i played.

these ones are a little orange espcially compared to the previous pictures, but that just seemed to work for them. i dont know, what do you think? i was just playing around.
and ashleigh and mario's mom. this is as good as it gets when taking a picture with ashleigh. she definately has her own agenda. she's actually trying to get away and run away even though it looks like she's oh so sweetly posing and looking at the camera.

and i do have a son also. you wouldn't know it sometimes from all the ashleigh pictures. but isn't he handsome? i think blue is my favorite color on him!

Elijah's totally awesome fieldtrip.

so we went to Village Pizza in Corales and the kids got to make their own slice of pizza. Elijah had so much fun and it was pretty good pizza. (by the way check out the haircut!!!)

ashleigh loves to color, she's gettin pretty good at it. and she also learned how to say cheese and really mean it (i say it's more like cheeks on her rather than cheese, except that last one there's definately a little cheese and a lot of sauce)

and my mother's day gift that elijah made me at school that he won't really give me so i had to take a picture of it instead. but i still love it!!!

we went to costco to get toothpaste...

and came home with these.

for me. idk the last time i got a phone (and now a texting plan) oh... and btw a new number. i'm still learning all the text lingo, if you have any tips let me know (i think i'll ask the young women also, it seems all they do is text) and for mario...so he can check his email on the go.

i'd like to say thank you to george bush for the recent purchases, and we really are going to save the rest :)
that is after rock band comes out for wii next month, and tires for the jeep - i guess we won't be saving the rest (was that a surprise?)

point of story - don't go to costco for toothpaste, even if it does come in a 4 pack that lasts all year.

Baby Isaac

Really he's only 4 months old!!! but he's so big and just the sweetest thing in the world. He'd smile at anything and the only time he got mad was when he's head got to heavy and he slammed his nose onto the hard wood floor. But I don't think there's a more adorable 4 month old that I know.

I had so many pictures to choose from I wanted to post them all but I could only choose my very, very favorites. They were all so cute it was really hard!!
