it really is all about the baby

only the first born child/grandchild/niece/nephew gets this...


seriously how could you resist those thighs?! and cheeks! and big blue eyes and slobbery lips. i love babies. this was one of those "hey everyone look at me" moments, but they didn't care about the camera only those thighs!

i love my sisters.

and their families, and my brothers and their families too but i didn't get to take pictures of them recently.

i think i have the best looking nieces and nephews (i didn't say the best behaved always, but that's what makes them so much more fun!!!)

















i still have one more sister and her family pics to post. but i've been laying on the couch all day feeling like i'm going to die so i haven't got to them yet. but i am feeling better.

baby wish list

i figured i'd put my wish list on here so i'd remember what i wanted (and so everyone else could see too! hint hint)
1. a new car. so my car is just too little for 3 kids in the back. especially since elijah's in a booster, ashleigh will be in a carseat and then a baby in a carseat also, in a 1995 honda civic! hahaha! i'll hate giving up the 40mpg but i'm dreaming of 8 seats. this is what i want, but i'm really not picky. i told mario it just has to seat 7 or 8 and not be WHITE!
so if anyone wants to buy us this for a baby present, really i'm not very particular on the color. it doesn't even have to be a commander. we've talked about tahoe's, forerunners, highlanders, sequoia, really we're not picky!



2. car seat of course. I've looked and looked and talked to everyone. i've decided on the Britax roundabout and the only cute pattern i really liked is the cowmooflage. they have some cute very girly ones, but this ones cuter. hopefully i'll be ordering this soon. i just found it for a pretty good deal online.


3. how cute is this? i've never been one for swaddling (i could never figure it out) but this little blanket does all the work and they come in the cutest colors. i found these here. along with some super cute slings.
4. a sling. i've decided against an infant carrier seat. i hate lugging those things around. so i figured i'd need something to carry the baby so i can have my hands free and so the baby can sleep, etc.
5. a hooter hider, i'm sorry a nursing cover. these are everywhere even target! but there's some way cute patterns online. i might need a couple of these!
6. a new stroller. actually, i want 2 new strollers (don't tell mario) . i figure i need a nice fold up double stoller that will fit in my new car but leave room in the back for grocies and other stuff. and i also want a double jogger stoller. i've decided nothing too fancy. i'll probably mostly be walking or very light jogging and it will be on sidewalk/asphalt. so i need suggestions on strollers please!!!

7. and for when the baby's a little bigger. i'm loving these little seats, Bumbo seat. they have these at target too! and they have trays and other accessories too!

i'm starting to get excited, it seems like it's been forever since we've had a baby in the house. (3 years) poor ashleigh got all of elijah's hand-me-downs. i'm being pickier this time! but trying to only buy things i really want and will use. anyone else have suggestions for things i might want i mean need?

2. dad will be a pirate, not a mermaid at your birthday party
3. sparkly shoes go with everything
4. how to spin just like a princess
5. how to hold up 3 fingers (we're still working on this one)
6. how to smile real sweet so you'll get ice cream, chocolate chips, cookies, etc.







here's a copy of a Babushka doll from one of jacque's (my big sis) kits. kristine (my little sis) and briana translated them to shirts for their girls. how cute are they?!



money was so cute at the end of our shoot when we were getting in the car she said she wanted to keep taking pictures. i don't know if it was because she really had fun taking pictures, she really liked me a lot, or she knew she'd get extra treats for being so good.

such a lovely wedding and family. i'm so glad we got to be a part of their day. i can't wait to work with them again. we (mario and i) had so much fun!

miniature golf birthday party

our friend skyler always has the best birthday parties! we're so lucky we always get invited. 2 years ago it was an awesome go diego go party, last year was breakfast (and the kids got pancakes in the shape of letters) and this year, miniature golf!!

thanks for inviting us bud. i hope you had an awesome birthday.




and yes it is very hot here but you try and tell a 2.5 year old they don't need to wear a sweater.

Nash & Jane 50th

this is how i watch the mariachi also!

i love watching kids try to sit through church (it's much more fun then when you actually have to sit with kids at church)

50 years! can you believe being married for 50 years!!! i've made it 7 and thought i was doing good until i realized i'd have to go 43 MORE years to make it to 50. that's so awesome and this family is awesome. Jane has some 16 siblings (14 alive i think i heard) there were 8 (8!) sisters at the reception and 5 brothers!! there were a lot of grandchildren and great grandchildren. it was amazing!

there was also a lot, A LOT, of dancing.

i love all the new people i've been able to meet recently from taking pictures. and i'd like to thank michelle, her parents, siblings, and the rest of her family, for letting me hang out with them so often these past few months.
