so i've een slacking with picture posting lately, but to my defense i have been pretty busy.
1. activity at the park
there was another picture i wanted to post, but for some reason blogspot wasn't liking that photo. it's an adorable picture of one of our friends (1 year old) in his bear bottom onsie and he's crawling with his bear bum up in the air.
then we met our new cousin? son of our cousin. isn't he just the sweetest thing???
after that i went to girls camp
sorry not so many pictures i took more but it was hard enough getting the girls to let me take their picture i didn't want them to be upset that i posted them, even though i think they're the most beautiful girls even if they smell a little after been out in the woods for a couple of days. thus the picture in the stream they were washing their hair. which i thought was silly until i woke up saturday morning in the tent and the only thing i wanted to do was take a shower and wash my hair.
after that our week(s) have been full of swimming, hanging out at my moms playing on the massive water slide, young women activities, and the temple and stake conference and i think you're caught to me now.
we went swimming again today, but i didn't take any pictures (next time)
i love summer!!!!

how NOT to teach a 4 year old a "knock knock" joke.
mommy - "knock, knock" (on the wall)
elijah - "knock, knock" (on the wall)
mommy - "no, you say who's there"
elijah - "who's there"
mommy - "banana"
elijah - "banana"
mommy - "no, you say banana who"
elijah - "banana who"
- repeat from beginning-
mommy - "no, you say banana who"
elijah - "that's not a door that's a wall!"

i was tagged...
i've been tagged a couple of times with this same tag from sara and melanie. the reason i haven't done it is because it's hard and requires thinking. but i'll give it a try.
7 wierd facts about me...my husband will be assisting to come up with the wierdest.
1. the bed has to by made before i go to bed. yeah that's right! if for some reason the bed didn't get made (i wasn't home is usually the only reason, or i just cleaned the sheets) i have to make the bed before i climb in, even if i climb in right after i make the bed. i think that drives my husband crazy. and along with that i make the bed first thing when i wake up. if i'm the last one out of my bed i make it as i climb out and if my husband (or kid) is the last i make it as soon as they get out.
2. my toes have to be painted (even if it's a very bad/chipped paint job). i think my toes look funny without any color on them.
3. i do the dishes before we eat. i like to have a clean sink when i sit down to eat even though i know as soon as we're done i'll have to do dishes again. and you'd think i'd do the dishes right away after dinner, but i don't!!! every night i wait and see if my husband will do them before me so i don't have to (i think it's happened once!)
4. my husband says it's wierd i put ketchup on everything. not on everything, but on a lot of things. i love ketchup!!!
5. i love, love, love peanut butter. my favorite is peanut butter on pancakes and waffles. sometimes on french toast. i can eat spoonfuls of peanut butter. and when i make a pb and j sandwhich i like way more pb then j and i always lick the knife after!
6. i will not eat chicken nuggets, or chicken strips, or stuff like that without something to dip it in. like bbq sauce (mcdonald's is my favorite, and golden pride is mighty good) i also like honey mustard (but i really don't like mustard). but without dipping sauce i will not eat that kind of chicken. i guess even fried chicken i dip (drowned) in ketchup!!!
7. ok, something none food related. let me think...
i cannot and will not sleep with socks on!!! even camping. i hate socks!

bouncy water slide
so this is from last week? i think last monday - i'm finally catching up on going through all my pictures. my sister's been bugging cuz she wants some pictures. so she's been pushing me to go through all these photos. we had som much fun at my mom's house. once the weather is nice i plan on spending some long hours sitting on a lawn chair with my cup filled with ice and a little water and chatting with my sisters and mom (my favorite thing to do during the summer)

new pictures coming soon.
but until then just a quick update on what's new.
so summer is slow coming it feels like (it's freezing - for june - outside)
but...
i'm just getting over the worst cold i've had in a long time so starring at a computer screen just didn't sound so wonderful to me since i woke up and went to bed with a headache 3 days in a row. but i'm all better now. at least mostly, the headaches gone.
for all my wonderful friends who went to my tumbling classes the last couple of months i'd like to say thank you and i'm sorry. i'm sorry that community center was so lame and didn't do anything they said they would (like buy supplies for me to use) needless to say i won't be going back there. i loved your kids and anytime you want to get together and do some body rock, freeze song, or sing sammy just give me a call.
new things that just came up...
i've gotten a couple of calls the last couple days for piano lessons. i haven't taught since ashleigh was born because i had ashleigh and she's a pill. but i'm giving it a go. so i have 4 student already if anyone else is interested (i won't take more than 10) but i'd love to teach a couple of more.
here's the info
$30.00 a month
30 minute lessons 1 day a week
please, please, please...if you're interested know this.
1. students NEED to practice 30 mintues at least 5 days a week or else it really doesn't stick and they don't learn so much so fast
2. you need to have something to practice on (piano, keyboard - it doesn't matter)
3. 5 years and up (when they're starting to read) you know where your kid is at and if they are ready or interested in piano lessons.
my son is 4 and i'm thinking about starting to introduce him to the piano and sheet music (he already pretends like he can read music and tries counting. plus he can recognize all his letters and numbers) but we'll see how it goes if it's too much of a battle i'll wait a little longer. i just want him to bang around on the piano with some rythm to it (i'm not going to push him to really learn songs or anything). just understand fast/slow, high/low, long note/short note. very basic stuff.
so if you're interested in lessons or may be in a couple of months send me an email or call.
