baby elliott

finally a little boy!!! with cool hair, skinny legs, big boy feet and hands, and wrinkles on his back like a shar pei puppy (gotta love all that extra skin). i only got one picture of him crying because he only cried once, and come to think of it i think he just made a face i don't really remember any sound coming out. he's so perfect and content. such a sweet boy.

my advice for anyone having a bad day, in a bad mood, a little sad or depressed...
spend five minutes (or seconds) with my little angel!!! she brightens up my day.

rail runner

yesterday we decided to take a quick trip to santa fe on the rail runner. we didn't leave until 4ish so we didn't get to santa fe until after 6 and we had to leave by 8:15 so we didn't have a lot of time there (but that's ok it was too cold to walk around) we did get to stop and hang out at flying star for a couple of hours. i love that place!!! it was so delicious.

ashleigh asked if the train was the polar express. she just can't get over christmas! maybe for christmas we'll take her on the train and pretend like it's the polar express, anybody want to dress up like santa for us?

we had a lot of fun. i can't wait to do it again, but when it's warmer!!! and we'll go on an earlier train so we can actually walk around a little bit.

addison

a dear friend from high school just had her first baby. adorable little addi! she's so cute and sweet (and has a little temper, but only when she's hungry of course!) her mom and i played basketball together in high school. her mom was/is such a skilled basketball player and much better then i couldn've ever been. she taught me a lot and was a great example to me. i'm glad i could do something for her and take pictures of her beautiful girl. i could hold her all day long. i miss those sweet little newborn days.

congratulations!! i'm so happy baby addison is finally here and so healthy and happy.

Elijah turns 6!

Today my baby boy turned 6! i can't believe it.

so how did the day go?
elijah's been looking forward to his birthday for a long time. i told him i would take cupcakes to his class for snack time.
last night he climbed into our bed and i tried sending him to his bed but he told me he had a scary dream. he fell back asleep before i knew what his dream was about but he told me all about it this morning (over chocolate chip pancakes, his choice for birthday breakfast)
he said "mom, i dreamed that there was an aligator and my school and it was trying to eat my birthday cake."
now that's a scary dream!!

then dad took him to school which i was told that the whole way there all he talked about was his cake and if it was going to have frosting.

i got to his school with his cupcakes and we sang happy birthday he was very pleased!

after school we went to peter pipers. he told his grandma that he was 7 now because this was his second birthday today! hahaha. i told my mom by the end of the week he was going to be 8 then. i had to explain that his birthday was the entire day long and he'd have to wait until march 2011 to be 7. i love this kid!!!

Pehrson's (porter's special day!)

we had a special day at the temple saturday. then they up and left me this morning. moving from albuquerque to virginia. i'm going to miss them so much, and i'm sure everyone in albuquerque (whether or not you actually know the pehrson's) is going to miss them. it's sad seeing such a wonderful, caring, good family leave us! safe travels and keep in touch.
